My central locking only half works. If my 147 is open, I can lock the car from the key and enable the alarm etc. But, if I want to unlock it, the lights flash and there are beeps to indicate the alarm is off but it does not unlock. If I go to open the doors manually, it unlocks and locks itself again straight away. The only way to get in is to manually open a door and as I turn the key, pull the handle at the same time. Then I can open the other doors from inside.

Could this be a fuse issue? Or could it be something that a dealer might have to fix?

Would appreciate any help.

Try to disconnect the battery wait ten seconds and reconnect. Fixed my central locking / alarm in this way. My car did not want to lock from button or remote.

Did as you suggested and disconnected the battery for at least 10 secs. Worked like a charm, when I reconnected it the central locking working perfectly.

Thanks for the great tip :)
