So my central locking had stopped working no apparent reason just went to the shop and it died.... i fitted a new battery last week but car was fine up until this.... Ive tried removing the battery and leaving it stand , replacing the fuse ,jiggling the wires, disconnecting the box in the boot and holding the button on the fob nothing has worked so far... The box in the glove box is clicking when i press the fob so it seems to be engaging any help would be appreciated guys im at a loss and not really in the best financial situation to be taking it to a dealership...

Central locking Not working on fob or with key from either door, boot release works from fob. Alarm activates with usual doubke beep but now an extra beep after.... ????

What if you push the button down while in the car? Does only that door close?

Yes only that door.... Could a faulty door and window sensor cause the double beep amd stop it locking?

The extra beep might mean the alarm thinks a door, boot or bonnet is still open and that might stop it locking. Check the door switches etc.
