Autoexpress is sure to be hard on VW's
case now.

The UK motoring press have been
an utter shower about this.

Apparently the 2 litre fix has even more issues.

Even if they don't get punitive fines all these VW owners now experiencing issues will be seriously miffed. Repeat business will be a major issue going forward for VW

Sorry but I doubt there will be any repeat business issues. IMO VW buyers are muppets or is it sheep.

And I might add: I have very little sympathy with anyone who bought a diesel car because of government incentives or nonsense official advice.

They have always been dirty, smelly things and it's always been known that they produce more pollutants that are actually directly toxic in greater quantity than petrol engines. One thing The Guardian has actually got right.

On a purely "broke the regulations" basis this may be partly correct.

When it starts costing people money or hassle it may start to effect things..
