I am getting ****ed off with being given stuff to do and told that it is really important and needs to be done by tomorrow/end of the day, when clearly someone has been planning it for weeks/months.

I have just been told that a problem had to be sorted by tomorrow becuase a department is moving, so if it isn't working we are ****ed. So you are telling me you got up this morning and thought lets move that department.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! I need a new career, any suggestions?

Yeah and another favourite...

Them: "We need this doing"
Me: "When for?"
Them: "Yesterday!!" :)
Me: "**** off you ****hole"
followed by 15 minutes later...

Them: "We need that doing"
Me: "When for?"
Them: "Yesterday!!"
Me: "But I am doing this, you asked for 15 minutes ago"
Them: "I know, we also need that doing"

This goes on for some time, until like with my last job you do literally say **** off I quit! To which they say, what can we do to make you stay? And you say NOTHING YOU ****ING MORON!

My old boss was spot on for this. Best guy in the world.
If someone asked any of his staff for the impossible...

I would love to do that, but the industry I am in means if I did and didn't get things done it just causes a bigger headache and the company loses money. Doesn't make leaving things to the last minute right though and invariably means me working early late and dialling in a lot more than I would like. Though I have escaped the blackberry curse so far.

Charge em over time. They will soon start asking you a week in advance when they think it's going to cost em extra!:lol:

All my work is like this recently :mad: - not my clients fault, but their clients - nowt I can do really, work is work in these hard times :D
