I'm interested in buying an Alfa 156 twinspark but it will need a cambelt service.

How much for a full cambelt service these days please, including tensioners etc?

That really depends on where you take your car. If you take it to a dealership you will pay a huge amount for no real reason. If you take it to an independant agent then you may get it done for a lot cheaper. Basically this is what the service will entail:
1. Cambelt and balance belt kit
2. Water pump.
3. Tensioner.
4. Idler pulleys.
5. Variator? (Replace when noisy)

Reasonable prices are in the region of R8000 to R12000 for the job. The most important components being the belts, tensioners, pulleys and water pump.
