Isn't there an AutoLusso franchise down your neck of the woods? Might be worth giving them a call. Sure Lawrence would be competetive.

Sounds really cheap - I was quoted £1300 by AMC and the Alfa Workshop's website quotes £1000.00

If anyone can recommend somewhere in East Anglia that is cheaper it would be appreciated (otherwise the wife wont get a Xmas pressie)

Actually it's quite expensive!

Alfa Tecnico (a well respected alfa indie) charged me £205 + vat for it last year, and £300 + vat for the major service at the same time.

Not to us, its the same parts and the same job. But to some it might as there's less room to work in a 2.4, so if they haven't done many then I can see them wanting to charge a bit more for the extra hassle over a 1.9.

Mines a 2.4 hmm got me wondering as the other 2 quotes i got from alfa specialists were £459 and £520 mark for cambelt and waterpump,

thats why i thought the £377 was cheap..

anybody else think the £377 is actually expensive then? and anybody used s&h in poole ?

that price includes vat by the way

£377 is a good price, does that include timing belt, tensioner, idler, waterpump, coolant, consumables and fitting etc?

Or just a belt & pump?

Booked mine (2.4) in with Veloces in Barnet. They said the standard price is normally £700.00 plus VAT, but said if I booked it in by a certain date, They'll do it for £550 + VAT and throw in a fee Air Con service - can't argue with that.

Just want to say I had that the wrong way around! Which makes it very similar to the original post.

So £360 for the cam belt and pump and £245 for the service.
