Mr Orange, Wrinx, myself and, I think, others have in the past posted the Alfa cam belt change deals from Jamie Porter of Alfa Workshop (my local specialist). The consensus seems to have been that it was a good deal from a reputable specialist, so I thought that it might be worth passing on that it looks from the web site that it's coming to an end at the end of the month.:(

However, site says: "This Special Offer ends on 31st March. But if you book by the end of the month for a cam belt change any time during 2006, you will still get it for the offer price" :)

Could be worth doing a bit of advanced planning...

Also in the same area is Alfa Sport (Sawston - 01223 839 299). They are also doing an offer on Cambelt changes. They are quoting £235 inc VAT. I have got my 147 going in on Thursday for a belt and variator change. They have quoted me an all in price of no more than £335 inc VAT. He couldn't remember exactly what the cost for the variator was but said that would be no more than £335, if the variator was cheaper then he would reduce the cost. I'm not sure what the cost would be for a smaller or larger engine (mines a 2ltr)

I ahve had work done by Jamie in the past and would agree that he is very good. I just thought I would give another option

...and then there's Perrys in Cambridge who quoted me £900, two years after losing their Alfa franchise :cheese:

By coincidence, they are closing down completely on the 31st. There's a surprise!
