Hi all,

Im having a real hard time trying to change the pads front and rear inc discs on my GT. The culprit stopping me competing this job are sticking bolts. Has anybody got any ideas on how I can release them without stripping the Hex or shearing the bolts completely ?

By the way, Sticking bolts are really DULL!!!

Cheers

is it the caliper slider bolts (small-ish) or the caliper carrier bolts (big-ish) that are proving to be tricky?

ah, they can be awkward....just make sure you got a good quality bit (or allen key) that's right in (clean the head with a wee screw driver or similar) and get some leverage on it. Worth giving it a blast of plus gas (or similar) a wee while before to maybe assist. They are quite tough so shouldn't shear unless totally seized but you don't want to be rounding off the heads :D
