So I have my 09 Brera (2.4JTDm SV) with Qtronic - 18" smoky 8c likey alloys.

Turning to the mechanicals - should I get wheels aligned? If so best place to take her?

Have to say - driven plenty of oil burners but this is special - I know the new Fiat unit will be good but with the paddle shift it's soo much fun.... :)

Is there anything else I should consider mechanically to get the most from her?

Definate 4 wheel alignment - set the fronts to parallel, mines being done again this week, otherwise it will eat the fronts in about 7k miles

Also, pay attention to the Camber settings. Too much camber will eat the inside edges as well (and there seem to be some problems in this area as well...)

Do not use kwik fit or such unless you have no other option - A local independent will probably do a better and cheaper job.

Enjoy your Brera - Give it a good polish and waxing to maintain paintwork. Depends how pedantic you are - I painted the rear calipers andhub projections around discs on mine - tidies it all up and keeps protected. Probably just me but these areas can get corroded and really bring a car down!

Dougie is quie right Kwik fit last resort beacuse they can look at the tracking but you really do need a 4 wheel alignment specialist

As I've said before, I wouldn't fix anything that might not be broken. Instead I would just check regularly.
I've done several thousand kilometres with winter tyres and now over 4000 with the summer tyres and the wear on both sets is perfectly even.

I wanna take back what I have said in my last post and I promise that I will never again suggest that an Alfa could come from the factory with correct wheel alignment.
