Im thinking of painting my calipers but there are a few options/brands out there and its hard to know if the prices are justified or not.

I'm seeing painting kits from Foliatec and E-Tech, and there are options from Halfords and some other none branded kits.

Can anyone recommend any sound options or is there anything I should steer clear of?

NB looking at a red/rosso red options

+1 for smooth rite.
Brilliant stuff. Brush on, no streaky bits. Very glossy finish.
Mines been on 2 years now. Still looks great

As above I've used Hammerite Smooth several times in the past. No colour fade and looks great years after

Ive just used Foliatec Rosso Red, and applied new (ebay) decals. See pic.

I never removed all the old paint, just the damaged lacquer. What you see is the finish when applied by a brush. I'm happy with it.

With brush-on paint.. buy the most expensive brush ever. It's worth it, since you're going to the trouble and expense. You need a brush with dense, natural bristols. ;) A lot of cheapo brushes have fake bristols and they're not very densely packed together, so you get brush marks.

Oh.. Hammerite smooth for me too.
