I'm off to look at a very nice 147 at the weekend, it's a 1.6 has 26k on the clock full leather interior air con/climate control and is four years old oh and is apparently limited edition.

What warning signs should I be looking for please? Any advice is hugely appreciated!

Thanks
John

At 26k it should be immaculate with no faults whatsover.

Check when the cam-belt was changed if at all.. it should have been changed at 3 years old. Don't get too hung up on it if it wasn't.. but immediately replace it and the tensioner, if you buy it.

You could have a peek at the exhaust. Low miles may have taken its toll on the silencer.

Check the oil level too. If it's at the MAX mark then it was looked after. If it's looking old or black, then that might be a job for the same visit as the cam-belt. If it's off the bottom.... then don't touch it!

Thanks very much, I will make sure I check the oil. The car is immaculate FSH at regular intervals leather and paintwork both look brand new! Black paint has some swirl marks but I will machine polish them out!
