I organised tickets and camping for myself and some mates last year....only to have to pull out because of 'work'

I'm not missing it this year. Sorting tickets/camping on Tuesday....and I'm really looking forward to my first 24 hr event

The intention is to camp at Dadford campsite. The weather last year was pretty bad and my mates ended up sleeping in their car (they forgot the tentpoles:lol:and the tent they blagged from someone else wasn't waterproof).
Hopefully the weather will be kinder this year. I can't wait to be watching the racing long into the night, beer in hand, with the knowledge that after a few hours sleep and a campside breakfast the fun starts all over again:thumbs:

As usual, I will be there for the practice on Friday but not for the race........
If I knew who my post chief was before the event I might attend, but a certain few PC's tend to be clueless how to make a 24hr event enjoyable for their marshals..:tut:..enough said........

Most Post Chiefs know that even though we are doing a necessary job, marshals are race fans as well, if we stop enjoying doing the job racing couldn't take place.

What have you got, a marquee..........:lol:

Looking at my event schedule I have nothing planned for the weekend so may do marshaling on Friday and stay as a spectator for the rest of the weekend if it doesn't rain......a new experience spectating at a 24hr event.......the more I think about it the better it gets.......:thumbs:

Having slept on it.......not only does it make sense I think it will be a lot of fun if I can stop myself from running out on the track if anyone crashes.........

Depending on who is on what posts should be able to get access to certain restricted areas for you to get closer photos.......:thumbs:
