I cant understand why everyone on this site spends so much on gear lol,

no offence, I even posted yesterday on James's F1 progress thread about tyres, my 19" tyres cost me £360 all round fitted, 2 years ago after i 1st bought car only £280 fitted!
my front spacers 15mm (prober hub extentions) and rear ones (5mm each side, could of got away with 10) and all bolts worked out about 55 quid all in , I was buying wheels at time those where £490 but spacers came from diff company, I got reciept pinned up in workshop, Ill post later, if anyone wants details , and no they werent steel - light alloy!
if I forget anyone can remind me tonight, (subscribed to this thread)
my springs cost me £80 I never bothered with shockers as I honestly you cant tell difference once a car lowered from past experiance, obviosly if you have a car and go on track day or out then...... ;-) springs are so firmed up no point.
My front discs i got recently, Drilled and vented cost 120 ! and mintex pads were £24 it was an ebay gamble and expected them to warp /ware out in a week but in 6month been fab, so sometimes you dont have to buy top brands and spend thousands doing mods, just be savvy, by time i sold my gen 18" alloys with P-Zeros on (new tyres better, quiter, last longer, and more comfy) it cost me nothing to upgrade to custom alloys, part from new traed £280 (i was going to get 19" horshoes but didnt think good value, and I like to be different)
Map cost 150 quid with dpf/egr delete, but I know BigFish Tuning, should be £250 on bench tuning , I could get done £190 (referral)
i got a piece of stainless pipe and fitted me sel,
Xenon gas bulbs 'WHITE Not blue! I must add, LOL! cost me £35 from HK again fab and no probs had a year. S**T Now I done it, DoH ;-)
and all the Led conversions worked out about £3 x 6 front, and about £3 for all the red ones at rear,(plus £7 for white interior ones and 2x number plate) I bought canbus cancel resisters but didnt need them as the front lamps use enough juice so to speak. (bout 784 white smd led's in 6 bulbs up front)
