Hello

Just a quick question,

I see that the S and non S have similar performance figures 0 - 62 and top speed but is there any indication in terms of a lap time comparrison or simillar to show the performance difference between S and non S brera's. I saw the non S 2.2 brera (i think) go around top gears track and the suspension seemed to really struggle. I wondered how much different the 2.2 S lap time would have been?

Cheers

No idea, but the standard Brera can easily be improved for track just by adding Eibach Springs at a cost of £180 + fitting. Though some people go for more complicated fully adjustable set ups.

Other than that, there's no performance difference between the S and the Standard car - it's just trim and wheel differences essentially.

Thanks, I wonder in real world terms what these differences might mean to lap times. But I suppose no one has done times laps in both cars. I suppose the S must be able to carry much more speed through the corners...

The 'S' meant Speciale rather than Sport. So apart from changing the suspension I don't think it performs much different to other MY2008 cars in terms of power/top speed.

Saying that, just putting Eibach springs on my 2.4 made a huge difference to handling, so I imagine it would be a lot better on a twisty track over a standard car.

Yeah i appriciate its not "sport" it is interesting to here that the Eibach springs make a big difference to the standard car though.

I dont do any track driving and probably wont do any but I was still interested to know what difference prodrive have manage to make with the tuning up of the setup (even if the engine power is unchanged) and the weight savings.

What are opinions on front discs for Brera S Prodrive 2.2 and do you know exactly what size they are, I know they are 330mm dia, and 28mm thick, but a lot of spares lists do not show the larger front discs for the S, they all seem to list 305mm, which is wrong.

The Brera is not really a track car. Too heavy. My old S3 and Megane 225 would beat it.

I did the Eibach spring change and it really made it feel better, still not tight in the corners though. You can really feel the weight.
