Hey guys,

My Brera is currently having a new clutch/ duel mass/gearbox recon done and has the sub frame sat on the garrage floor.

It has slight rust around the front but nothing too bad. Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get it cleaned up and sealed?

If it doesn't need any welding then you can do it yourself, make sure its a solid smooth surface then get a load of underseal or hammerite to finish the job off

if its off id get it done properly! As having it off is the main job

id get it shot blasted and rust proofed then have it powdercoated!

If you want the subframe to last then its the best way of doing it to prolong its life

id ask your garage for the best place for powdercoating nearby, or have a google around the area that you are and ask for a few prices and what they can do, id definatley get it rust proofed then powdercoated.

A new subframe is £1,000+ so youll be saving yourself a lot of money
