Hey,
Last week my 2009 Brera misbehaved after a long journey, it was stuttery on low revs and the check engine light came on.
Took it to motorvogue in Northampton and they replaced the variator. That didn't work, they then changed the timing chain... After they broke the sump, they were able to test drive it.
Again it was fine when driving but was hunting at low revs. They wanted £660 to dismantle the engine to check the valves which I declined.
The next morning they phoned to say the engine made a noise and the problem was seemingly solved... After picking it up, and paying £1500. I made it 20 miles before the engine light came on and the original problem returned.
Do I have a leg to stand on with the garage? Seemingly this was misdiagnosed...
Also, anyone had similar issues before that they resolved?
The poor bugger is on the verge of being scrapped
