Brera - intermittent stereo steering controls

Hi,

Apologies if asked before, but not found the post if so. Recently picked up a Brera, SV with the standard stereo fitted (eg not CD changer). Unfortunately I don't have all the manuals yet.

Over the last couple of days I've had problems with the steering wheel stereo controls. It seems to be after I've stopped the car, turned off the ignition, then switched the radio on by pressing the radio on/off button (say at a services). When setting off again the steering controls aren't working. Last stopped working after doing this yesterday, but no joy when I drove it today.

I don't know if it's a fault, or I've done something to accidentally switch off the steering wheel controls.

Any thoughts, or advice?

Thanks,
Stuart

Been out in the car tonight, but no change. Stereo controls on the steering wheel are still not work.

There are no other warning lights, or flashing, everything else seems fine.

I can't remember if the stereo controls on the wheel should light up or not, but it they should they aren't.

Any ideas?
Just tried that, had to reset everything (date, time, windows), but strangely enough didn't have to reset the radio.

Anyway, it didn't work. Unless I just hadn't quite left the battery disconnected for long enough. Maybe try that again tomorrow.
