Quick question. Is it possible to change just the badge rather than the surround bit:confused:

Cheers,

Be careful when removing the nut inside the bonnet, if you use too much force you will snap the support that holds the nut in...resulting in it being a nightmare to remove (past experience).

Is the rear one a pain to replace, mine has a small chip on it and the screw on the back is a bit rusty so I'd like to sort this... Expensive???

I asked Ned (autolusso) nicely and he changed my front one while it was in for service :D

Neither, when you can have it done for you why worry :D
Bigger fish to fry and all that ;)

PS. LazyMod doesn't work for me anymore :p

Full marks again to my supplying dealer (Guests of Knowle).

Called in tonight & showed the delaminating / discolouring badge to Mark in Sales.

One on order no bother:cool:

Majorly loving this Brera:inlove:

@Squadrone Rosso, did they just replace it under warranty? Mine is fading (front and back), and I wouldn't have thought to ask for that to be replaced FOC!

Resurrection of an old thread, but couldn't find any definitive answers during a thread search....

The front badge on my Brera has gone the common way of peeling/fading, so I wanted to replace it.

Ordered a new badge (just the badge itself) from eBay for about a tenner. It is an exact copy in size/desgin/colour etc and is sticky-backed.

Has anyone actually tried to prize off an old badge to stick on a new one? How easy is it? Techniques?

I'd rather take of the old one and replace it, rather than just sticking on the new one (which would stick out too far and just look wrong imo).

Any advice welcome...

Cheers.

Pretty sure Wynne71 did it for his 159.

There are posts somewhere on here.

Don't try and prize it out, you could try drilling two pilot holes slightly off centre and use some needle-nosed pliers in the two holes so you can twist it and hopefully pull it out. This is how I do them on the 156, but I've not done a Brera yet.

As just posted, my experience is to drill three or four 3mm holes in the badge very close together as a horizontal 'slot' and then grab with pliers, does not then damage the surround. The main thing to realise is that even after removing all obvious fittings you are trying to free the badge from a circle of double-sided tape which is not easy.
