Hello to all the community here :)
i own a '10 alfa brera tbi with aboutt 100.000 km on the clock ,
i have gone with custom ecu remap and custom full exhaust , also put a free flow filter in the stock box .
The man who remaped the car has changed the revlimiter fro 6050 to 6600 the pressure from the n75 valve has gone to 1.5 bar overboost and 1.4 ct to 1.2 at revlimit

at this point when trying to pass the old revlimit (abt 6100) the car misfires i feel a "gap" and then keeps going till 6600

anyone else experienced same problem with misfires ?
the car has new spark plugs and tested some new coils from a fiat tjet , same problem again

any help would be gratefull

also contacted alfatune he believed it is the programmers fault something he might have missed.

thanks for your time

It could well be the mapping but equally we are starting to see these engines have issues with the fuel injectors, they are a direct type fuel injector and they give trouble and you are asking more from than before

Is it worth using a bottle of Redex or similar every few thousand miles as a preventive measure, or is that stuff ineffective?

To be honest it is difficult to advise as these are early days for us with these engines, they are just coming out of warranty so most of them have washed (sorry I mean serviced) buy the franchise dealers

The 156 / GT JTS has very similar injectors and this is why I bought this bit of kit

Autolusso - Alfa Romeo Specialist | Petrol Injector Cleaning & Testing

We are using to test and recon injectors from the TB, we have had to buy and make a few bits to make it work but it works

The main concern with these injectors looks like over fuelling is adding petrol to the oil

I have sent an oil sample to Millers for testing

I will update as we have more information

An issue with your map I would say.

We have mapped lots of 1750 tbis ,some have over 60k miles now,not a single problem with valve springs or injectors.:)
