I'm trying to get all the info i need in preparation for my new mito!
Will i need to break her in in any sort of way? low revs for certain mileage or anything like that. :)

It's new, don't thrash it off the line and red line it in every gear obviously....

However if you want to do 100mph on a private road taking it up through the gears then do so...and vary your speed etc....open her up properly at 1000miles.

Modern engines are machined to close tolerances, gone are the days of putting mineral oil in and the sign on the back window with running in written. :cool:

I really didn't break in the Mito, I drove it like I stole it! :)

Maybe it's wise to limit exploration near the redline to just a few occassions, but I definitely recommend an engine oil change once the break-in period is over. I changed mine at 1000km.

You will find that the petrol engines in the Mitos are bullet proof, they have been within the fiat group for years without the turbo and a few mods ...... if your guna drive the car hard just make sure its warm, no need for running in anymore !!!! enjoy the machine
