AS already wrote in my Brake pedal hiss thread. Hissing noise is definitely caused by the brake servo and I'm going to change it. Had many difficulties to identify the proper one. Nevertheless bought this from a scraped 156 GTA Selespeed from Germany. According to eLearn there is difference in how to change it on LHD and RHD cars so did not want to risk buying a part from UK.

Anyway my first impressing is rather confusing. It looks different to one I have on the car. Servo as well as the master cylinder. Here I my doubts / questions.

1. What is the reason for such difference?

2. What do you think? Shall I change it with current master cylinder as it came or dismount and use the one I have on the car?

3. eLearn says ABS unit has to come off in order to get the servo out (in the UK cars it goes out though the cabin). I'm afraid if letting any air in the ABS though. How should I handle it?

Any inputs are welcome. Thank you all in advance.

Picture of the "new" servo:

And this way my old looks like:

Thank you Mathias. I've been checking the 147/GT servo and they look different. Even manufacturer is TRW I think. Nevertheless I was speculating about the issue with 305 mm vs 330 mm as a reason for different servos. My was according the BOSCH number used in some JTS and JTD models. Could have been upgraded when Alfa started to mount 330 mm from factory.

Anyway Gotcha told me about this procedure to activate the ABS pump in order to bleed it. However I'd rather like to avoid it.
