It seems that I have an intermittent short somewhere in the electrics. The fuse for the brake lights (incl the horn) keeps popping. I go for months and everything is OK then tonight it goes three times in as many miles. Bugger!

Any ideas of where to look first?.

Can you pin it down to when you do something, ie use the horn ? I say this 'cos a faulty horn can draw a lot of current and failure isn't that unusual.

I suspect that this isn't the cause though and that you have an intermittent fault somewhere, going to be hard to locate I'm afraid.

I'd start with checking the brake lights ( these you WILL be using ! ) and fittings and even replace the bulbs in these units. Look for water ingress/corrosion/chafed wires and connectors etc.

Good luck.
