my alfa's losing brake fluid at a rapid rate (needs topping up at 300 mile intervals). looks like it could be coming from the clutch slave cylinder. is anyone aware if this is easily accessible, or is it a gearbox out job?

cheers,

AA :(

Apparantly accessible and doesn't involve taking the gearbox out...not on a 155 anyway.

Never done it so can't help any further sorry.

Hi,

I looked at mine on the 145 Boxer and it's easy to get at from under the bonnet (passenger side - UK) - perhaps it's easier (more comfortable) if the plenum is removed.

Best regards,

Allegedly it's a fairly easy job, a few on alfa145.com have done it, as has McGuinn on here (is there anything he hasn't done).

Someone'll be along with instructions soon! :) ;)
OK, I haven't done the TS slave cylinder...
It's not hard though... Just need to remove the battery tray that's all!
