I’ve had a cheap Clarke tool for years, it’s been ok for the odd repair but it’s hit and miss and only does flares but not bubbles I need for the callipers.

So I’m wanting to invest in a good bit of kit but the GTV and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations.

This looked like the sort of thing.

Forget it. Even when I was 'in the trade' in th e70's/80's I bought proper made up brake lines, for two reasons. First safety, a proper machine made line will always be better made than you can do on the bench. Second, it was a pain in the back side and took time, you had to have the right ends etc etc.

I mean a complete set of lines is cheaper than the tool, before you have bought the pipe work and the ends.

I agree with Top Down. I do have a kit, but only use it for disasters, ie making good an end if one has corroded and twisted off (provided there's enough spare pipe ), otherwise I buy a ready made kit.
