Quick question about brake calipers; what other models will pre-facelift 1.8TS brake calipers fit? I'm selling a set. Cheers

Front or rear?

Fronts, should be vented discs so should be the same for most nonGTA 156s except early non-vented 1.6s.

Rear, pretty much most 156s.....

Very little demand for fronts however...can't remember last time I sold any.

Until about 2001, the 1.6TS, 1.8TS & 1.9JTD had the smaller solid front discs.
For 147, only the 105hp 1.6TS had the solid fronts.

The front & rear brakes of the 1.8 changed a year BEFORE the 2002 interior facelift, 2-years before the full facelift.

So pre facelift 1.8TS can have 251 or 276 rear discs (both with early & late pads, so four versions each side!) and solid or vented fronts.

2001 was the change year.

So saying "pre facelift" doesn't really narrow it down!

Ah I see. It's pre 2001. 1999 in fact. I thought they updated the brakes along with facelift, like any logical manufacturer might!:xmas:

A 1999 156 will have the smaller solid front discs and the small 251 rear discs.

I know, just had mine replaced with larger rear discs and vented front discs. Hence the spare calipers I have to sell.
My question is which other models will they fit? 1.6, 1.8, 2.0, 147?

Ah I'm being thick. Literally just bought myself a 3.2 GT so mind is elsewhere!

Edit- I assume the same models for the rear?
