Hi Guys!
I know this is a well answered topic but all the threads were old, so I'm starting a new one.
I'm in search for braided brake lines for my car, and of course I have a twist... Mainly talking about the front lines now. As we know the front line normally is a shorter piece, with female fittings on both ends. What I was thinking of (and seen it done elsewhere!), why can't the front line replace the rigid tubing from the strut to the caliper, too? The line would then end with a banjo bolt on the caliper side and go right to the caliper. It would have a rubber piece on it, which looks just like a female fitting, so it can be properly attached to the strut (see attachment!). I've seen this on many many cars, even on retrofits of these exact calipers. What do you guys think? It would be made on order, but HEL and CP Racetech can do it within the standard price, they said its no problem, but I have to provide the length which I would, of course. Also the question is, which brand to go for? I've heard HEL makes them the correct size on 2nd and 3rd tries (I don't have the time for it now), and also CP is cheaper...
Any advice would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Best regards
Dave
