Having read several points regarding the connector for my feedback while opperating windows in the gta. Issue seems to be the connector in the side of the amp on my bose sound system.Last time I just wiggled the connector and it seemed to have less feedback. I will pull apart and clean with some electrical cleaner.

One question about the volume still. I haven't had a standard head unit in my other 156 for ages so I can't rememeber what is considered loud or not. In the GTA I have the volume at 50+ to hear it while driving which seems very high . What is considered a normal volume setting? You can't hear anything when volume is below 10.

I recall the factory BOSE setup in my GT being annoying that it automatically defaulted to a volume setting of '20' each time you started the car. I had to turn it up, to achieve the volume I wanted, which from memory was around 30-35, for comfortable volume.

At the end of the day, if it goes 'loud enough' for you, it doesn't matter whether that occurs at 20 or 50.

The bose in my GTA does the same, it reverts back to 30 when it's switched off. Sometimes when I switch it on and turn it up it crackles, I assume this is a loose connection to the amp (where is this located?).

Also the volume, even with CDs needs to be at around 38 and up to 45 to hear ok.

Aftermarket head unit may be the answer ultimately.
