Hi, my boot has 1 cm of space between the seals on the boot, i loosened the 2 10mm bolts on the lock and moved it all the way up and its still the same, all the way down and it wont lock the boot at all. any tips?

Rephrase that: its shut on the left hand side, boot is totally flush with the panels, but the right hand side is 1 cm and not flush with the panel. the lock is at its top position.

First, check the boot lid isn't twisted.

If that looks ok, look at the corners of the boot lid, you'll see a small rubber stop at each corner.

They look solid but in fact are helically cut. That means you can wind then in and out.

So, take the lock mechanism out of the equation by moving it to its lowest position, lubricate the rubbers stops ( washing up liquid is a good rubber lube ) and wind them in/out until the boot lid sits where you want it to be.

Finally, adjust the lock.

oh wow... there is no stoppers on the side that leaks.. thats why.. oh well, now i know. have to buy some somehow. anybody know the parts number for the rubber stoppers?

Update: its not the bumpstop, it wont even touch the bumpstop on the one side. the lock up or down does not change anything either. im out of ideas. its like the rubber seal does not close on each other.

Disconnect the gas rams and then try closing the lid. If the lid then closes, reconnect them one at a time to see which is preventing the lid closing.

If it's not that, check the hinges - undo the upper carpet and check nothing is interfering with the hinge operation.
