Hi all, first I would like to thank everyone for there help regarding my 145 cloverleaf not turning over (other post)
The car now has its MOT at the cost of only two new rear shocks... not bad really considering it had been off the road for over 4 yrs. My latest problem is the boomy stainless exhaust fitted to the car...(a bit to boy racer for me) . I have no idea what make it is but its straight through from the cat and the chrome oval type tail piece is about 6" deep and about 3" x 6" in section !.... It is all one part back to the cat so it means I would need to cut it off to replace it ... thing is the guy I got the car from said that Monza sport had remapped the ECU and that it produces around 175BHP.... and I must admit this thing absolutely flys...with that said do you think changing the exhaust would greatly effect performance ? I must admit I am tempted to just replace the back box with something that sounds not so boomy ... not that I have any idea what box to use ... any help/advice would be great .. thanks

If you go down in size it will affect performance, just ad a resonator or 2 after the cat.

P.S. I seriously doubt its making 175hp, more like 160..
