I'm off later to Halfords to get some paint mixed up. Have one little area where it looks like someone, before I purchased it, rubbed it with a cheese grater. Very uneven and scabby, but strangely all the paint is intact.

After a thorough check there's no rust thankfully, so purely a cosmetic excercise.

For some strange reason I love pampering the body work of a car -- oddly, it's theraputic.

List of requirements:

Wet and dry (various grades): Check

Filler: Check

Tin of primer: Check

Paint colour match: Check

Lacquer (where applicable): Check.

Well the prep is done and added primer. Hopefully today I'll add the main colour. Even with the primer the surface is as smooth as a freshly shaved badger. Quite chuffed.
