Wheel Tire Car Sky Vehicle

“. driving the beastly XM confirms what its styling suggests: that this car lacks authenticity or at least any real purpose beyond shock and awe. And if M is historically about proper driving satisfaction in a truly usable and practical package, I’m not sure where its latest product, this self-professed bastion of modern M-ness, is meant to fit in. Not on many British roads, that’s for sure. Too heavy to express itself, too severe to rub along with day to day and too expensive for powertrain niggles to be let off lightly, it brings little to either the brand or the super-SUV party. M can do better.”

Still can’t believe their first dedicated M car since the M1 is this monstrosity! Given that internal combustion engines are not long for this world, is this really how they want them to be remembered?

It'd be just about acceptable if it was a Tonka toy rather than an actual car.

We are going to see more and more high-end cars made with no regard for European markets and tastes. For certain high-end vehicles the sales that can be achieved in European markets are insignificant to what could be achieved in the Middle-East or Asia so it's no surprise to see more and more vulgar, classless behemoths that focus on oneupmanship numbers over substance. Even the Brits are at it with the Aston Lagonda Taraf ignoring the home market (if we can even consider it British anymore).

Why bother with the European market when all European nations are pushing against private transport ownership in the name of preventing climate change. There is no future in a dying market.
