Bluetooth PIN - and now, new problems!

I've just got a new mobile and tried to set it up in the handsfree in the car.
The phone finds the device but then asks for a pin.

I have no idea what the pin is - even though I was using a different phone with the bluetooth handsfree before.

I've tried the usual standard codes 0000, 1234 and a couple I may have used but no luck.

Any ideas? Is there a standard Alfa code?

The car is a 156GTA '02 model with standard stereo / handsfree kit

Could be the BT kit is "full" and you need to
delete all other pairings.

There should be a thread on this somewhere on AO.
I dimly remember posting a link to the manual for someone.
You'll have to resort to a threadsearch.
;)

EDIT: Was bored, so here's the thread:

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/ice-and-blue-and-me/145177-metablue-help.html

The Metablue (Alfa retro fit kit) manual link is dead, so you'll have to
do some more googling or PM Bill_Green.

Isn't the internet mind-boggling sometimes.
I'd love to know how my search in google for "metablue hands free pairing code" brought up this.....

Sorted. Luckily I had the old phone, so I charged it up, put the sim back in went down to the car and turned on the phone. When it connected to the car via bluetooth I deleted the connection from the phone.
Put the SIM in the new phone switched it on and connected it.

God knows what the four other connections are if there's a 5 pairing max!

Cheers Nev for your help

Thought I'd got this sorted, but I'm having a bit of trouble with the hands free now it is actually connected.

Two problems.
1) someone calls me, stereo mutes, I press "Answer" on the phone, stereo un-mutes and person calling me is left wondering why I didn't answer.
2) When I hang up the stereo doesn't un-mute so I have to switch off blue tooth then switch it back on again

Phone is an iphone 3G
