Have just purchased a Bluetooth OBD2 connector as fed up with removing footwell cover and fitting cable to laptop.
Am planning on keeping the Bluetooth connector attached behind the footwell cover.
Will probably need to move the connector to allow it to fit.

Has anyone done this? Will it drain my battery?
Can you recommend a good iPhone programme?

My Spider has got a JVC system and the bluetooth is made available by a small adapter that plugs into the USB port on the front of the unit. I have a separate USB which runs from the back if the system and is fed through into the glove box so best of both worlds as there is simultaneous access to both as all my contacts list and dialing facilities are available via the head unit.

I'm not talking radios, but Bluetooth connection to diagnostics, however iPhone diag apps only support wifi.

Paul,
It also depends on your port signal type, I bought one just on a whim incase it worked for mine but it didn't, I believe it's the KKL type that's needed but the bluetooth module I bought was something else! However I've kept it for the other cars!
