I have a 156 JTS and have managed to fit new clutch and CSC, and just before i start the timing service, i thought... The clip for the Concentric Slave Cylinder: does it go North south, or east west? Also as i tried to bleed the clutch with a vacuum bleeder, it was sucking alot of air, like the seals on male connector were way too loose.
1) should i fit the clip ( in a weave pattern it is designed, out in out) before putting flex hose in?
2) should i fit flex hose, then fit the clip over?
3) do i fit clip when male connector is at narrowest, half way?

I know this is a stupid question, but i find it's the trivial things that catch me out!:irked:

Had a look at old CSC and i have put clip horizontally, by mistake or not.

On plus side clutch pedal is returning properly, so BIG SMILE.

Thank you once again, in advance.

Is there a need to 'prime' the CSC, as it won't have fluid in it? Should I just connect and pump pedal to bleed it, or let gravity do its work. When you bleed the system it sucks air and fluid from line to reservoir, not below nipple.
