Hi, i need to change the bleeding nipples at the breaks of my Alfa GTV 1.8 TS (4001 040, 15.09.00, ZAR91600006062772 8). The spanner width is 11 mm. Does anybody know the size or the Alfa item number? It would be very nice if someone could help me very quick. Thank you.

The 11mm bleed nipples are a common size for Alfa (rear brakes of 156), Brembo etc - I believe its M10x1 thread

I think the M8 bleed nipple is the smaller one used by Alfa, it has the 8mm head

77364928 is the bleed screw for the front brakes on the GTV

77363366 is the bleed screw for the rear brakes

No matter what the size of the spanner (across flats), if you are replacing the nipple then the best advice is to saw the the bulbous end off it and use the right size socket to undo it.
Any open-ended spanner will probably slip, these nipples don't like being moved.
Good luck::thumbs:

Thank you very much for your helpfull replies. After i've changed the break master cylinder i've also changed the rear bleeding nipples (11, M10x1, 30 mm): Entlüfterschraube/-ventil von Metzger - Z 0039

The front nipples were in a good condition so that i dont have to change them. Preventively i've ordered the original front bleeding nipples from Alfa (77364928) - i think that they were also 30 mm long.
