HI,
I have a 1.9jtd 147 which ive just replaced both front wheel bearings and i also removed both front calipers to clean and paint, I managed to get 1 abs sensor out but ive distroyed the other so I'm waiting for a replacement to arrive but my trouble is, Now everything is back together and ive bled the front calipers i still have spongy brakes.
So would not having 1 abs sensor plugged in sparking Abs VDU dash lights make it unable to bleed them ?
Ive had the calipers off twice and ive even wrapped PTFE tape around the brake pipe threads to make sure theres no air getting and ive used a litre of fluid but cant get them to work. Ive bled brakes a few times before and thought i knew what i was doing but this is becoming annoying

Did the system drain while you had the calipers off?

How were the hoses left when calipers were removed? Pinched, ends blocked or left to drip out?
Are they twin bleed nipple or single?
