Hi all, sorry to say my 916 Spider was stolen today from Northampton. It is a 2.0 TS in black with biscuit leather and the reg is V159 MVO. It was on my drive (sorn) awaiting repair and was towed away while I was at work. Must have been someone who knew the car was not running as I live in a quiet area and it would not be noticed by an "opportunist" with a tow truck. If anyone comes across it or hears anything, please let me know. Would hate it to be sold to some unlucky individual....Thanks, Steve.

+1 and eyes are out down south too!

Have you thought about dropping a classified ad up in a few places to generate some awareness? Pistonheads is free - sure there must be other sites? There can't be too many black / tan gtv's about there.

Good luck getting her back.

Worth a tweet too.

Sorry to hear that. Where I live in watford we have had the police neighbourhood watch scheme emailing, warning people that there are gangs going round stealing catalytic converters late at night. They have said if you see anyone working on a car at night, phone the Police immediately. It's the latest big business. 4 wheel drives are the most popular at the moment as you can get underneath easily. Years ago it was gearboxes on Bedford tk's.

Fecking Pikeys!!!
Sorry to hear that mate, We had a similar situation (not car theft though) Private country estate, they walked in to our garage, took certain items, a scrambler, welder, few specialist tools and that was it, they didn't touch my spray equipment or the other toolboxes etc, it's like they knew what was there and took it under great planning!

Suppose it only takes a workman/postman with a camera phone when your garage is open and the robbery is made easy.

Sorry to hear that. Are there any cctv cameras anywhere near where you live ?

If so might be worth contacting the local camera partnership or whatever your local one is called see if anything caught on film - I think some of them retain the data for 30 days.

If you are lucky maybe they will have caught a number plate
