Hi

After a long period of silence from my bushes, I think the fine weather has brought out the creaks and groans again so I was wondering what would be the best tool to use to get grease right into the rubber/metal interface and keep it there for as long as possible?

A syringe? A turkey baster? something else? (hence my question )

And what would be the best grease or lube to use?

Cheers!

On rubber bushes you should only use red rubber grease, or silicone grease. Unless you dismantle the joints to re-grease I don't think any tool is capable of helping much. Best option is to use an aerosol of silicone grease and hope capillary action will allow the solvent-thinned grease to penetrate sufficiently. WD40 now sell a silicone grease aerosol with a wand.

You mustn't use petroleum based greases on rubber, it rots them. It's fine on polyurethane though.

Aah - righto, I've got a WD40 Silicone spray so will give that a whirl and hopefully capillary action or force gets the lube in as far as possible - thanks
