Are Bendix standard brake discs any good ???

I'm gonna replace my SuperAlfa discs with standard discs. I use the car quite a bit on track, so will be using better pads anyway.

Just from a previous thread it seems that standard discs with good pads will be enough.

So....Bendix discs........should I use them ???

cheers

Fitted a pair recently, the wear indicator type, nothing too flashy. Well, about 12 months ago, actually. No observed faults at all to date. Minimal rusting, so far fine!

Bendix are good OEM standrad quality - no worries there, part of allied Signal/ Honeywell and own the old Magneti Marelli Airbrake companies designs.

The standard discs are Lucas TRW's at the moment

Thanks.

Can get a pair of fronts for my 156 2litre for about £50.

Still got my worn SuperAlfa discs on and even running "cooler" pads at the moment, they are still heating up far too quickly when braking from high speed. For the 3rd time this week I've arrived at work with them bright blue.

Should I fit brand new pads aswell ?? I have a set of Black Diamond Predators which have 1 track day on them, but are still pretty much like new.
