I pulled my front wheels and found out my front calipers are stamped BENDIX. It was my understanding that they should be ATE or Lucus???

Well, they say Bendix ... so any idea what brake pad/part number work with these? Seem to be worn off on the current pads.

Any help would be appreciated. Need to do a few things to get my car on the road :)

Thanks

Well not really, getting the hub nut off to replace the cv boots was difficult. :) Finding a socket and grinding it down to make it fit.

Of course as the end of the day approached, we now have another problem. Brakes were still dragging a bit, and after some troubleshooting it looks like the front right brake hose has "collapsed" or is clogged.

I'll have to order one unless I can find something close that will fit.

Do you know if there is a difference between Lucas and ATE brake hoses? Just so I'm careful when ordering ... or do you know if the thread pitch from a Mercedes or VW would be equivalent and I could just cross over a part from one of them?

Thanks

Didn't Lucas invented the darkness and patented the short circuit....horror (there is probably very little difference between the hoses),
German cars I have little experience of the few of them I have owned rusted away before I had a chance to work on them so I can not say whether one of them have a similar brake hose, but you need a hose 413 mm long with one internal connection threaded M10x1 and with one outer connection threaded M10x1 as they looks on the pictures.

:)

Why not change to stainless steel braided hoses it is a nice upgrade removes the spongy feel on the brakes that you can experience on the GTV, I think both HEL and Goodridge are making hose kits for the GTV.
