I have had the privilege of handling some Faberge artifacts, not eggs unfortunately, and they were exquisite. Beautifully crafted and with an underlying sense of humour. I just wish that I could afford some.

We had a good viewing of a selection of Faberge artistry when her indoors demanded we went to The Palace for her to see Kate's wedding dress. Top notch craftmanship.

Iirc, Lady Zia had a varied collection many years ago at her Luton Hoo mansion when I were a lad? :):

What nobody mooch around that part of Luton in bygone days? TS Keyes anyone, for the Royal Pageant to celebrate Her Majesties coronation in 1953?

Splendid occasion acted out in a spectacular Tudor fashion on a floating stage on the top Lake at the Hoo?

Fantasic times to be around? I feel so privileged to have participated. :):
