I know that, in posting this, I'm giving them some free publicity..... but I'm not connected with Beaulieu!

Are any AO members planning to attend the first 'Simply Italian' day at Beaulieu on Sunday 22 May? Us Alfisti should try and put on a good show
Anyone who has attended the BIAMF or similar will know that these 'Italian' only events can be great fun.

From their website:
First Beaulieu

"The first Beaulieu ‘Simply Italian’ event takes place on Sunday 22nd May and promises to be a great day out for all enthusiasts of Italian marques. Owners of Italian vehicles are invited to bring their car or motorcycle to Beaulieu, both classic and new, and become part of the event. All Italian marques, from Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, Maserati and Lamborghini to Ducati, Aprilia and Benelli are welcome
Pride of Ownership Competition

All owners taking part have an opportunity to enter the Pride of Ownership competition with the winner receiving a £100 cash prize and a Beaulieu trophy. The winner will be one of twenty vehicles chosen by the judging panel to go on display in the Main Arena and take part in a cavalcade.

Entry into the Beaulieu Parkland with your Italian vehicle is from 8.30am – the Brabazon Restaurant will be open for bacon rolls, cakes, teas and coffees.

Ticket Prices

For entrants arriving on the day in their Italian car and joining the event on the Beaulieu Parkland, individual prices are adult £10 and child £5. For motorcycle riders and pillion passengers, prices are £5 per person. To book in advance please click here and select 'Event Tickets' and 'Simply Italian 2011' or for more information about group or club entry and concession prices, telephone 01590 612888. All other entries will be via Beaulieu main reception at normal admission prices.

Admission to the event includes entry to the whole Beaulieu attraction; the National Motor Museum and World of Top Gear, Palace House and gardens and Beaulieu Abbey.

The above tickets are only valid if arriving in a Italian marque vehicle. If you are unable to bring your Italian vehicle on the day, then you can upgrade your ticket to a General Admission ticket in Visitor Reception on the day.
