Three years, two kids, one wedding, a camper van and a new house and it looks as though OKO (ph2 TS) is finally going back on the road! :)

She had a new recon engine (fitted by Monza) at 100k, just before hibernation and all else (with the exception of possibly rear bushes) was in A1 condition.

She's been garaged for a couple of years on an old set of rims, then sat on the drive for the last (New house no garage :( ). Regularly moved, run up to temp ever now and then, had a new battery which has sat on a conditioner at times and had her 17" teles refurbed back to their original beauty.

The only issues I've noticed to date is a light ticking sound from the engine bay (manifold has been mentioned), the sunroof has just started to let a little water in (note must stop playing with it) and scrubbing the rust of the breaks.

She's going in to my local trusty mechanic (not an Alfa specialist) for a MOT / look over to see what might need attention. I'll also give Monza a bell for a little after sales advice seeing as they swapped the engine.

I'm not planning huge millage but need to make a 120 mile round trip once a week. Unfortunately I'm no mechanic but I'm aware (by the revised Alfa dealer book) belts should be changed at 3yrs.

What else should I prep before using her as a daily driver? Any wisdom will be greatly received.

I haven't got any guidance to give you but I know I have seen a silver phase 2 ending in ONO once or twice near the top of the Level and also just off Southover Street, would that be you?

I buzz in and out of Brighton most days (I live in Hanover) and I'm in a blue phase 1, ending in GTV, I hope to see you about! :D

Hey Starkers, It must be a distant relation. I'm over in Shoreham, but work in the Laines, sometimes park in Hanover so often see 'the silver flash' and a red cup up the top.

OK, I will keep an eye out for the pair of them!.

The silver flash is currently being dead outside my house - (she needs to be transported back to my Mum's).
