Just got an 11 plate 2.0 jdtm 170 veloce and am very happy with it, after looking for the aux port I have realised it does not have one, only a USB port which the previous owner has super glued an apple lightning cable into!! Lucky I do use an iPhone however this is not ideal as I now am unable to update the software. Could any one recommend what to do ? Also I was gutted to find out B&M does not support music streaming, are there any easy solutions round this? I'm thinking of taking it into a specialist car audio centre for a speaker upgrade and see what they recommend, could any one provide some insights into what they have upgraded with and cost? I think I could live without the music streaming but that usb cable coming from the dash needs relocating, I'm thinking of drilling a hole in the top dash compartment and trying to feed it into there for easy storage and access.

There are of course solutions available, but why do you feel you need to update the B&M software? the rule of thumb is with most things including B&M that if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Have you tried freeing the USB cable using acetone, or getting a very fine flat head screw driver to leaver around the sides of the USB port or heating it up with a hair dryer to see if it comes unstuck?

Had this happen to me, first thing once i took ownership was to plug in my new ipod....
then when i tried to remove it, it wouldnt come out. tried pulling and pulling at it but wouldnt come free.

did a google search and found out its a fault of the lightning cable packaged from apple, the slots in the usb end are too deep so once its inserted in some usb slots they dont come out.
only fix is to cut a thin strip of a plastic style buisness card and try inserting right into the top or the bottom of the plug until you are able to pull it out...
