http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/east-midlands/138528-auto-italia-day-7th-june-2009-stanford-hall.html

Hosted in Stanford Hall, Lutterworth, A venue that in itself has a lot to offer visitors, judging from Youtube clips and comments from people who have been before this looks to be a fantastic day out.....

It is a fair distance but the drive takes you up the Fosse way, an old roman road that early in the morning is a riot to drive.

I'm going to put a post on the South Wales forum and ask of anyone from there wants to join the convoy

----------------------------
Official Blurb

Widely known as the premier UK concours for top-quality Italian automobiles, this spectacular event will once again be held in the grounds of Stanford Hall. Following the success of last year’s Alfa Romeo Owners’ Club National Concours, held for the first time at the event, we are delighted that the Club will be returning to us in 2009. Another first last year was the Fiat and Abarth National Concours. This year the concours entries will be accommodated in the main display area joined for the first time with a selection of top quality Lancias. As well as the formal concours areas, the Ferrari Owners’ Club and Maserati Club will be returning with displays of exotic cars. Visitors arriving in an Italian car will be invited to join the general display area. There will also be an Italian trade village and a concession on entrance to the elegant stately home

just giving this a bump....

I will be leaving plymouth about 6am, 1st stop will be Michael Wood services at about 8.30 for a splash and a dash and then on to Lutterworth

We are planning to meet up with other regions just before 10am at a travelodge not far from Stanford Hall, this means we can all get in together as one big group

Hi Jay,

Almost done on convincing the missus. She even said she enjoyed Brooklands last month

Are you still planning a convoy up? Are you stopping anywhere near oxford or surrounding areas?? I understand the South East guys are stopping near Milton Keynes..

Let me know what the crack is!
Cheers

Now that is a much better route, going through our neck of the woods. :)

If you don't mind a quick stop I'll be glad to join your convoy. Either Strensham Northbound (just past M50 junction) or M42 Hopwood eastbound would be magic, just say where and when.

Davey, not an problem

I have Rodz1300 possibly meeting me at Michael Wood services I reckon we will be passing Strensham at about 8.45-9.00 and Hopwood park will be about 30 mins after that.

PM me your number, and i can let you know our precise ETA on the day, how does that sound?

We have to be just outside Stanford hall at about 10.20 - 10.30 so AO can all get in as a group and park together
