Here are some pics of my 2008 Black and Tan Spider, I am a newbie and this is my first post hope it works !

1) Engine area cleaned with paper towels and soapy water then used Finnigans Hammerite Satin Black on some not so good areas to touch up minor corrosion patches ie around battery tray.
2) Vacuumed inside of car.
3) Leather and interior trim wiped down with clean damp cloths
4) Hose outside of car thoroughly.
5) Washed paintwork with Autoglym Car Shampoo and Conditioner using clean sponge.
6) Hose off thoroughly again.
7) Whilst still wet use Autoglym Aqua Wax applied with microfibre cloth then buff with different microfibre cloth till paintwork like glass.
8) Clean wheels using Autoglym Wheel Cleaner with sponge and dry off with microfibre cloth.
9) Cleaned exhaust tips with wire wool and Autosol
10) Clean glass with Autoglym Glass Cleaner and clean cloth.
11) Cleaned chrome grill with Simonez chrome cleaner and microfibre cloth.

Total time most of the day with several stops inbetween, just hope my photography can do it justice...

PS Enjoyed it but don't do this everytime !

So this is my much loved and rare Q4 159 S/W... with it being one of only four to ever come into the country I spend a lot of time effort and money trying to keep it mint..
? ramble over this was washed/ fallout treated/ tar treated/ clayed/ foam washed / machine polished/ waxed and re buffed...
I then took it as the sun was going down to get some cheeky urban shots down the back of Birmingham thought I would get one of the welder working on my car.?
...hope you all enjoy

I'll keep the blacks running. :biglaugh:

Washed, clayed and machine polished and waxed. Suggest that all the oil burners are regularly clayed on the back, the clay shot was after 30 seconds, and it gets clayed at every polish. Mind you, I am running a lot of various additives through the tank during the last month or so, so probably made worse as all the varnish and coke is cleaned out of the engine. Didn't have much time for final pics last night, and it also rained a little during the night, and the rain brought down all the dust again, so I need to do it all again lol. What I would say though is that the Meguires MT320 DA polisher is very good equipment, albeit over priced. I'll probably compound and cut on the next wash as I noticed a few swirls before I started. Will keep me outa mischief for a while. :jester:

I'll break the black stranglehold! Got my baby back from smash repairs a few weeks ago and she's been getting fully pampered ever since, well apart from two days ago when I thrashed her around a local race track for 6 hours lol.

Here she is lookin purty after a full machine polish with Menzerna No. 2, two coats of Duragloss 105 sealant and a finish with Meguirs Carnauba wax. All the glass was clayed, polished and waxed. Plastics were treated to a dose of Solution Finish and rubbery bits got some love with a dose of Gummi Plfedge! The front bumper was painted with a whole can of Plastidip clear to protect it from stones and bugs at the race track hence the different texture in the pics :)

This is my Spider V6 Q4, Ive had it for a few months now. Earlier this week, the paintwork had been decontaminated with iron remover(Angelwax Revelation), then clay barred(Dodo Juice Born Slippy Lube and clay bar) , scratch remover(G3) used to remove slight scratches from previous owners. Zymol HD cleanse to give a good base for the wax to bond too. Then finally waxed using Zymol Concours using my hands - palms and fingers to massage the wax onto the bodywork, left to cure for 30mins before removal. Finishing with the wheels being cleaned with the iron remover (if people haven't tried this and are using normal wheel cleaner, give it a go, its much better at getting the wheels clean and a lot more kind to the wheels!) and coating then with Dodo Juice Future Armour sealant. Hope you like the pics. Ignore the wife, reading her kindle in the car!
