I was surprised how cheap some of them were - 2 MGB GTs went for £500 & £300. OK they were a grotty colour.....

There are two SZ'S up for sale this week, at the weekend at the Silverstone Auction, in the results it doesn't have a sold price but says you can buy for £48300 What does that mean do you think? There is another up for sale with Coys this weekend which was previously advertised for £48000 on various sites, I'd be curious if it sells, it seems to be whatever mileage currently sellers are focused around the 50k mark.

Daimler Double-six. I could even live with it being a LWB.

Escort Zakspeed rep I could also find room for.

MG ZT V8 is a guilty pleasure.

I find it vaguely amusing that less than 20 years ago I got £10 from a scrap dealer for a fundamentally sound Capri 1.6LS shell after pillaging various parts from it. I also took a set of Capri Laser wheels (as near to an RS 4-spoke as makes no difference) to the tip.

Nice SIII XJ12 and Sport Fury. I also find the Peugeot camper strangely appealing.

Yes my old man went through a bit of a "boy racer" phase in the mid 1970s (can't blame him - married at 19 and two kids by the age of 26 in the mid 1960s... poor sod)

In the early 70s he had a Hillman Hunter in beige for quite a while which was changed quite rapidly at some point for a Vauxhall VX4/90 in Sweeney brown with brown vinyl roof, to a Granada Coupe in lime green with brown vinyl roof to a bright red Opel Manta fastback hatch in quick succession. Eyebrows were raised between us brothers I can tell you!

I think at that point my mum made him a cup of tea and got him some M&S slacks and a copy of the Puzzler and told him to calm the f*&k down because that was followed by a BMW from which he rarely drifted over the next 30 years.
