I've had the GTV for four years now. I have replaced the front tyres every 8-10000 miles - I accepted that is just the way these cars work.

I've tried various makes over the 60k I've travelled - Pirelli in various guises comes out worst - sorry but roadholding was average and longevity ridiculous.

I put the last ones on 8k ago - Dunlop Sport Fast Response - bloody stupid name - but they are great. Grip is superb in both wet and dry.
After 8k they are only about 1/2 worn and I do drive fast and ask a lot on cornering. At this rate they will be good for 16-17k at least. Recommended.

Can anyone else recommend a tyre that performs well and is durable?

I quite really the Falken FK-452's that I have on my Coupe for grip and for wear.

I managed 12,000 miles on the last set of fronts, and thats with 250bhp. I don't drive all slow either.

For £60 each they are a bargain.

Eagle F1s on mine - get about 20K on the front 40K on the rears but price wise works out about the same milage / £ compared to 452s
