Does anyone know if "https://www.alfa-service.com" and "http://ricambi.alfisti.net" are basically the same company? I ordered something online from Alfa Service and they called me today saying they couldn't get it anymore, unless they ordered it in from Italy at more than twice the price. The account setup and 'welcome' emails are virtually exactly the same for both of them; don't want to order the same part again from Ricambi/Alfisti only to have the same problem!

Short answer, don't know... But a search of "whois" to see the owner and/or a check on the Companies House register may help you out. If I get chance later I'll have a look.

This sometimes happens when they have a european site and an iternational site due to name copyright or tax regulation

Both German, but they're two different companies.

I'm guessing the similar emails are down to them both using the same e-commerce software package to run their sites.

Cheers for the input guys.

Just found the same part on Alfaworkshop's site, but it's POA… Gonna be pricey I imagine (top part of the P3 grille, ridiculous money for what it is). I looked all over last year but could only find it direct from Alfa for big £££; now several suppliers seem be listing it. Will see what happens.
