One of the last owners window tinted the rear side windows and rear screen. I'm not a fan of it and the rear screen had bubbled quite badly. Has anyone taken this stuff off successfully and without knackering the rear screen heating element?

i would say its gona be heat treatment to remove it

no scraping at all as you rightly state will damage it, havent googled it but other alternatives may be found

I think you're supposed to hit it with a hot air gun and then scrape it off with one of those safe edged razor blade things.. my side windows were scratched, I gave up.. so I paid a lad from a glazing firm to replace it..

replacement takes a lot of skill and needs practice.. not good for a one off job.. I guess you could have a go if you just want to remove it.. wouldn't fancy attacking the rear though.. there's lots about it on youtube..
